The service, which can be accessed by smartphone, provides a 12 month historical picture of a vehicle’s valuation and a three month forecast. HPI said dealers will be able to use it to monitor valuation trends to help them assess prices for new stock or part exchanges.

The launch follows the companies’ recent collaboration on the HPI Mid-Month Valuations tool.

“Unlike other valuations services, HPI Black Book+ provides more than just a snapshot of a vehicle’s residual value at a particular moment in time,” said Daniel Burgess, HPI managing director.
