John McGuire (pictured), managing director of Paisley-based Phoenix Car Group, will present the keynote speech at this year’s Motor Trader and ASE Financial Conference.

The annual conference, once again sponsored by RBS, for car dealer finance managers, now in its fourth year, is a fully CPD accredited event and will be held on 18 April at Whittlebury Hall in Towcester near Silverstone.

This year’s line-up also features Jeremy Mallett, the buying director at Sytner Group and Mike Allen the dealer group analyst at Panmure Gordon.

The event will be chaired by leading motor trade accountant and ASE founder Trevor Jones.

The conference will provide an overview of 2011 financial results and a review of 2012, a detailed CPD accounting update, a special look at maximising used car profitability and will pose the question should tax be the 15th key ratio?

The conference is aimed at financial directors, financial controllers, dealerships accountants, accounts teams and any other ACA or ACCA professionals.

An early bird ticket offer runs until 29 February: £175 for dealers and carmakers, £225 for industry associates. Both rates are subject to VAT.
