Workshop Controller / Manager State of The Art Motor Trade Dealership North London Ref MG40990WC

Our client is a progressive dealership group and this is their most modern state of the art sites. An excellent opportunity has arisen at this state of the art dealership for a tip top Workshop Controller / Manager. My client is seeking someone at the top of their game. It’s a large workshop with 15 bays and 2 MOT testing Bays. At present the team consists of ten technicians so my client is seeking to recruit someone with a strong background of managing large teams and ensuring the highest of standards are met at all times from productivity to keeping the workshop in excellent order, ensuring all areas are tidy and also making sure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained.

This is an extremely busy workshop so it must be a manager who can manage a hectic work load and ensure productivity is completed to the highest standards and ensuring the team get the jobs done to the highest spec and also in the time frames given. They will be responsible for approximately 80 hours per day upwards. The manager will be responsible for Meeting all workshop targets. Kerridge knowledge preferred Quality Control, Man Management, Rota organising ensuring the right coverage at all times to keep up with the demand. Dealing with clock analysis for the technicians and preparing reports. There will also be housekeeping ensuring tools are where they should be. Good computer knowledge as this company are now doing a massive amount of online training and the manager must keep total control of the workshop and ensure that all regulations are adhered to. Working Monday to Friday 8.30-5.30 and 1 in 2 Saturday mornings 8.30-1pm. This is a fantastic work shop so someone that can join in the vision and run a tight ship. Also responsible for organising additional training for technicians who are working well but could benefit from increasing their knowledge. The Manager will be replacing a manager who has been there for years and became complacent so will need excellent communication skills with an ability to manage an established team. The ideal applicant must have a solid work record with a min of 4-5 years workshop management experience.
