Demand for prestige cars is growing, according to auction house BCA.
Earlier this year, BCA launched a section on its website called BCA Showroom, displaying prestige, sporting, rare and high value cars with photographs, catalogue details and auction locations. In recent weeks BCA has sold a 2007 Bentley Continental GT 6.0 Convertible for £92,500, £12,600 above guide values. Above guide price A Bentley Continental Coupe sold for £79,000, more than £7,000 above the guide value and a 2007 Aston Martin DB9 V12 Coupe sold for £72,500, £6,000 above guide values. And a 2007-registered Aston Martin V8 Vantage sold for £50,400, achieving £7,000 over guide values. Other sales included: • 2003 Ferrari 575M Maranello, £47,500 BCA UK operations director Simon Henstock said values for prestige cars were under pressure but interest has been building in recent months and values have improved notably in recent weeks.
