ford_logo_largeFord Retail, the manufacturer owned dealer group, has announced the opening of three new dealerships.

Polar Ford Barnsley in Yorkshire and Heartlands Ford Perry Barr in Birmingham have already opened, and Lindsay Ford in Lisburn, Belfast is due to open before the end of the month.

The Polar Ford development features a new car showroom displaying ten cars, an indoor used car showroom for six cars and space for up to 100 used cars on the outdoor forecourt, creating ten new jobs to take the overall workforce to 100 employees.

Heartlands Ford's showroom will display four new cars, and features a servicing workshop with six bays and an MoT facility, as well as used car forecourt.

Belfast's Lindsay Ford is a £1.8m new 10 car showroom, following the relocation of its aftersales operation to a larger site providing 12 bays together with pre-delivery preparation facilities.

Ford Retail's investments in property totalled over £10m in 2008, including the June opening of its £5.3m Dagenham Motors Superstore in East London, and the £1m new Dagenham Motors Eltham site which opened in August.
