Vauxhall has recalled more than 74,000 Corsa models in the UK. The vehicles, made in 2003-2004, have a defect which causes the engine to stop. Vauxhall has instructed owners of the 1.2-litre model to take their cars to franchised Vauxhall dealers for vital checks on the timing chains.

... Do check your warranty wording - it might be 3 years and/or x mileage in which case your warranty might still apply with such low mileage. If no joy there, take a second opinion and get a leading independent garage to advise and quote. At least you might save money here, a*suming you haven't incurred costs diagnosing this already. I can see you've done all you can so it's a sad saga. Good luck. |

... We bought a Corsa 1.3 cdti sxi brand new in October 2005, its never been right since brith, were had a stutter since new, Vauxhall say if it doesnt show on computer its fine, on about the 5th time back it had a new edr valve fitted, seemed better, but not for long. Its also been recalled twice for reworks. but now with 26500 miles on the clock and 2 months out of guarantee, the deisel pump leaks deisel, Vauxhall want £ 437.57 to change it, the steering goes tight sometimes when you turn. we have kept this car in a1 condition as the Vauxhall macanic said still looks new. Apart from that its been ok. |
