Some good news. Motor Trader has been voted the Headline Auto 2011 Business Publication of the Year.

As a magazine which has its own annual awards, we know how important it is to be independently acknowledged and rewarded for best practice. We’re therefore delighted with the win in a category which was open to all trade magazines in the UK car sector.

The Headline Auto judges acknowledged the content, look and focus of the magazine. They liked the way we deliver news to the industry and our practical approach to features; presenting readers with practical information and impartial analysis.

We were particularly pleased with the Headline Auto citation which praised us for not putting pictures of supercars on the cover and “writing tales of derring-do on the test track”. This supports a long held belief here that this is best left to a number of excellent consumer magazines; we prefer to take a focused business approach and deliver it in an entertaining way.

Our thanks to the judging panel and everyone who has wished us well.
