With a new car plant in Russia set to open at the end of 2007, the Japanese brand will see its growth plans supported by a manufacturing network of nine plants in Europe. Toyota's overall capacity in Europe is set to reach over 850,000 cars per year, with its factory in Burnaston accounting for 285,000 units. Toyota subsidiary Daihatsu is reported to have targeted a 5.4 per cent rise in global sales next year to over 1 million units.
