The Motor Insurer's Bureau has passed the details of 16 businesses to the Crown Prosecution Service for failing to register vehicles within the required legal deadline.
The MIB had given companies, including dealer groups, until November to ensure that all vehicles were registered with its database. Businesses that failed to register stock will now face prosecution and potential fines of up to £5,000.
