The RMIF has blasted Vosa for failing to provide adequate compensation to garages hit by failures in the computerised MoT system.
Ray Holloway, director of the Independent Garage Association, said it was “unjust” for businesses to receive only “ex-gratia payments” for the costs and disruption incurred by the repeated breakdowns in the testing system.
“Vosa's refusal to issue appropriate compensation is effectively a refusal to admit responsibility for their failures,” said Holloway.
