Convertible values could hold firm beyond summer
Thursday, 31 August 2006
The yearly post-September plate change fall in convertible values could be coming to an end.

The increasing popularity of metal folding tops over the traditional fabric roof could have a positive impact on the sector, research by Cap has found. Jeff Knight, forecast manager for Cap, said: “The seasonality of convertible pricing in the used market relates directly to the weather, with a slump after September and a steady rise from spring onward. The metal folding top is a relatively new technology in the volume car market and that means waiting to see how it performs long term.”
