Nanjing slashes Longbridge production target

Nanjing, the Chinese owner of MG Rover, has more than halved its Longbridge production target.

According to a report in the Independent, the carmaker now plans to build only 4,000 sports cars compared to previous company estimates of between 10-12,0000 units a year. Nanjing claimed production figures could rise if demand for the TF MG sports model was high.
