Increased manufacturer imposed standards are not helping dealers improve sales volumes.
The warning comes from the RMIF National Franchised Dealers Association, which claimed that a recent survey of its members had shown 84 per cent had not boosted sales despite raising standards. Over 90 per cent said their manufacturer's demands have increased over the last three years. These dealers claimed to have spent an average of £681,071 on implementing manufacturer standards. NFDA director Sue Robinson said: “Continuing to force dealers to increase their expenditure on these standards is simply not a sustainable business model.”
