Honda has more than doubled its fourth quarter profits on the back of strong overseas sales and a softer Yen.
Strong sales of the Civic in the American market and one-off items also contributed to the increase but the carmaker warned of weaker-than-expected earnings for 2006. Quarterly revenues leapt 20.6 per cent to 2.83tn yen from 2.35tn yen in the same period last year. Profits reached 219.5bn yen (£1.06bn).
