Auris production underway

Chancellor Gordon Brown officially launched the start of UK production of Toyota's new Auris at the company's Burnaston plant this week.

The brand's new C-segment challenger is set to join the Toyota Yaris and Avensis in helping Toyota to achieve its revised European sales target of 1.22 million units in 2007. The brand expects to sell 150,000 Auris models in 2007 with sales rising to 200,000 sales in a full year.
