Car parts company bought by Indian giant

A British car parts manufacturer has been bought out by an Indian automotive giant.

Stokes Forgings has sold 99 per cent of its shares to Mahindra and Mahindra for an undisclosed sum. The company, which makes parts for Land Rover, Jaguar and Ford, was founded in 1908 and employs 240 people across three factories in the Midlands. Mahindra is one of India's largest automotive companies and employs around 11,500 staff.
