SUV prices fall
Wednesday, 07 December 2005
New sports utility vehicles have become more affordable over the past year despite an overall increase in new car list prices.

The price of a new SUV has dropped 0.2 per cent, bucking a trend that has seen an average 1.4 per cent price increase – equivalent to a £193 rise - across all other sectors. That decline is likely to become more pronounced in 2006, analysts EurotaxGlass's claimed, due to a marked increase in competition within the sector and the launch of more affordable models from volume and budget brands.
