Plans for MG revival at Londbridge

Production of MG cars at Longbridge could resume by late next year.

New plant owner Nanjing Automobile has said it plans to revive production at the former MG Rover assembly plant by 2007 with a target of making 100,000 cars annually. The deal could also see around 1,200 jobs created at the site. The first cars the Chinese carmaker plans to build in Longbridge are the MG TF sports car and ZT lower premium saloon.
