The sale follows the decision of Pentagon chairman Mike Trebbit and group chief executive Mike Wilson to retire. It sees Ridgeway take on the Mercedes Benz and Smart brand in Chichester, Southhampton and Winchester as well as Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep in Portsmouth. Ridgeway managing director David Newman said: “This acquisition is a perfect strategic fit for us in terms of franchises and location being contiguous to our existing business.”
