Crash test results favour manufacturers

Tuesday, 28 June 2005
More than half of cars tested in the latest Euro NCAP crash tests have achieved the highest possible safety rating.

Seven of the thirteen models tested achieved a five star rating for occupant protection. The Peugeot 1007 received the highest rating overall and became the highest scoring car ever in all classes of the tests. Euro NCAP said the test results showed manufacturers were now focussed on pedestrian protection.
