Lotus to produce new model overseas

Lotus has announced that production of its new sports car is to be moved abroad.

According to the BBC, production of the Lotus Elise will stay at its Hethel factory, while the Esprit sports car is likely to be made in a vacant factory space in Malaysia. Until now the Norfolk based company, set up in 1966, has only built cars in the UK, but will now realise a third of its car production overseas.
