The advert showed a picture of an Alfa 147 Collezione 2008 with an ebony roof, with the text “All from just £13,950”.

The car in the picture, however, was a limited edition model and actually retailed at £14,450. Alfa Romeo argued that the advert had a footnote containing information and prices about the model shown in the photograph but the Advertising Standards Authority ruled that the advert for the Alfa 147 was misleading. . The advertising watchdog has banned the advert from appearing in its current form.
