General Motors' Hummer review to lead to sale? |

General Motors’ review of Hummer is still underway and is likely to lead to a sale, according to the Financial Times. The US carmaker said it had chosen Citibank as its adviser for the sale in a broadcast to Hummer dealers on Monday. ![]() The bank is expected to begin contacting prospective buyers for the giant SUV brand over the next three months.
It is expected that GM will hear from businesses that were also interested in acquiring Jaguar and Land Rover last year, including Indian, Russian and Chinese carmakers.
Hummer accounted for just 15 per cent of GM’s total sales last year, although volumes outside of the US rose 35 per cent year-on-year.
