Mitsubishi is attempting to set a new world record for racing the largest number of Lancer Evolutions on a track at one time.
The bid will take place next month at the Castle Combe Circuit in Wilshire, where around 300 Evos are expected to congregate. It is being hosted by car club the Mitsubishi Lancer Register and is supported by the Japanese brand.
A Guinness World Record adjudicator will be in attendance on the day to allow an instant decision on the world record attempt.
Darin Frow, MLR chairman said: “The World Record attempt came about after one of our members asked what had been the largest number of Evo’s ever seen in one place?
“That was a year ago, and since then the idea has captured the imagination and enthusiasm of everyone within the MLR, and beyond.”
