Selling a car with enough boot space to “fit three bodies”, Robert De Niro as a Mafioso car salesman must be every sales manager's nightmare. He's quite prepared to tell the customer exactly what he thinks of them, something you lot in the trade probably dream about every day. Just wait for the part when Bob decides to show them the manager and just wait until he speaks on his behalf!
Clip of the week!Never judge a book by its cover, so the old chestnut goes, and never has it been more appropriate in the world of car advertising than in this ad for the Toyota Corolla. Daughter is moving out of the family nest and in with her new partner. Dad “likes him” because of the Corolla but things aren't always as they seem are they pops? Changing tyres can be dangerous, especially if you're this rather unfortunate woman. Jacked the car up? Check. Got the wheel nuts off? Check. Got the tyre off? Doh! Moral of the story? Never pull too hard, especially when on an elevated highway. Brian Carson, the modern day car equivalent of Evil Knievel, is about to attempt to break the world record for the longest ever car jump. According to our narrator: “He needs 1100 feet of runway and he needs every foot to make that record breaking jump.” Does Carson and the 1969 Chevelle SS make it? CLICK HERE to find out.
