Brake discs are wearing out faster and warping earlier on some modern vehicles, according to a new report.
Mail order supplier Car Parts Direct claimed that it is regularly supplying replacement brake discs for cars that have been driven for less than 25,000 miles. The firm claimed it had seen a 23 per cent increase in sales of brake discs for vehicles under two years old, whilst older parts sales had risen by only 14 per cent. The study pointed to inferior brakes being imported from the Far East as one reason for early wear.
