Vauxhall has released the first spy shots of its new Insignia model.
In a bid to beat the prototype paparazzi, the carmaker has issued photos of the Vectra-replacing model in camouflage. Papped: The new Vauxhall Insignia The new saloon, which is due to make its debut at this summer's British Motor Show, has had around 200 test cars manufactured during the vehicle's production process.
Vauxhall said it had gone to such lengths to protect the Insignia because of the interest of its competitors and the media.
“One of the most important characteristics of a new car is its exterior design,” said the carmaker.
“That's why shielding new body styling from prying eyes has become an art form within the auto industry over past decades.”
