Jemca is to invest more than £10m on opening two new Lexus dealerships in north London and Kent, as well as the redevelopment of an aftersales facility.

A new site is under construction in Colindale, north London, costing almost £8m, together with a £500,000 redevelopment of the current site into a dedicated aftersales centre.

Additionally, the Lexus Bromley dealership will relocate to a new £2.5m site in Sidcup.

While Colindale's Lexus Edgware Road will continue to operate at its current facility, the new 10-car showroom is to open in October, and is expected to be a national flagship centre for the brand. Lexus Sidcup is due to open later this month and will feature a 6-new car display as well as 25 used cars. Every Jemca centre will have access to more than 100 cars in group stock. “Together with the Lexus brand, our businesses have grown significantly over the years to the point where we needed much more space,” said Mark Sinclair, Lexus brand manager for the group, which is ranked 65 in the Motor trader Top 200. “Both these developments represent a major investment on our part and reflects our commitment to both our customers and Lexus GB.”
