Auto Trader is to enter the vehicle provenance market in a move that will put the company in competition with HPI and Experian.
James Bromley, managing director of the Trader Media Group – owners of Auto Trader -- said the senior management team for the venture was nearly in place and discussions with data suppliers were in advanced stages. Bromley added: “Our relationship with members of the trade and the buying public places us in an ideal position to offer vehicle data checking.”
