The Dutton Forshaw Group will attempt to enter the premier league of the Motor Trader Top 200 with a series of carefully targeted acquisitions.
Managing director Maurice Rourke said he would continue to develop partnerships with new manufacturer partners and Vauxhall and Renault are first on the hit list. Rourke was speaking after Dutton Forshaw acquired five Mercedes-Benz dealerships from the Whitehouse Group in Kent. He said: “We will end up with between 40 and 50 dealerships, which will put us in the Top Ten in terms of scale of operation.” Dutton Forshaw is currently rated 18 in the Motor Trader Top 200.
