Richard Gandy takes the role of Commercial Manager, with overall responsibility for the strategic development and direction of the company's bodyshop and insurance product portfolio. He is joined by David Punter who, as Key Account Manager, will become a primary point of contact for major customers and business prospects within the vehicle repair market. Both will play an important role in bringing Glassmatix to market, supported by EurotaxGlass's existing team of specialist sales and technical support staff. The product is currently in the final phase of development and is being tested by a number of customers. Richard Gandy (FCMI, MIMI) joins EurotaxGlass's following a 19-year spell at DuPont (UK) Ltd. Latterly he was a Regional Manager with responsibility for automotive coatings sales and the distributor network across the south of England. Previously, Richard held responsibility for operational projects with insurers, fleets and other work providers. The role gave him a keen insight into the dynamics of the UK motor repair industry, from both a work provider and repairer perspective. David Punter (MIMI, IMIAEA, MFIEA) brings extensive experience of the vehicle repair market, having spent the last five years as Business Development Manager at repair estimating system provider Audatex. Before that he held a number of roles in the repair industry, and prior to his stint at Audatex was Head of Estimating for the Howard Basford accident repair network. “This is the latest phase in a comprehensive strategic investment programme for EurotaxGlass's in the UK, as we put in place the resources to develop, support and provide a series of significant new products for our customers and our target markets,” explains Deven Thakrar, Managing Director at EurotaxGlass's. “Richard and David will augment the existing bodyshop and insurance team, bringing additional experience of the vehicle repair market which will prove invaluable as we roll out Glassmatix and then other new products next year.”
