The RAC is aiming to triple the number of its insurance customers within two years as the company seeks to boost the growth of its financial services arm.
The organisation re-acquired the rights to sell motor insurance from AXA Direct last year and said it would now push towards doubling the number of policyholders to 280,000 by December. It plans to increase that figure again to 450,000 by 2007.
