Growing numbers of dealers are turning to sale and leaseback schemes on their sites as a means of generating capital and cashing in on a strong investment market. Martin Carey, head of investment at property consultant Rapleys, said: “Five years ago the sector was not considered worthy of investment but car dealerships are now an established investment platform.”
