Lamborghini takes on figher jet in ultimate race
Friday, 30 November 2007
Lamborghini has attempted to establish its credentials as one of the fastest car brands on the planet by racing a Tornado fighter jet.

The Ghedi military airport in Brescia, Italy, last week hosted an acceleration race between a Tornado aircraft provided by the airbase and the Lamborghini Reventón. While the Reventón took the lead in the first leg of the 3,000m long runway, the Tornado caught up to win in the last few metres at a speed of over 340 km/h. Lamborghini claimed the Reventón's design was inspired by the world's fastest aircraft, down to its exclusive new matte grey-green exterior colour.

This was done in Scotland some twelve years ago against a 1950's Cooper Jaguar, when there was very little in it then.
