The new model will hit showrooms next year
The basic 3.0 litre model starts at £32,925 while the most expensive 4.2 litre SV8 costs £53,925. It is hoped that production of the new model will safeguard hundreds of jobs in the region. Jaguar is currently up for sale after parent company Ford decided to dispose of the luxury brand. A decision on the future of Jaguar and Land Rover, which is also up for sale, is expected to be announced by Ford in early 2008.
