While Pendragon maintains its dominant position at the top of the listing there has been some significant movement among the top 10 groups.

Inchcape has risen from fourth position to become the UK's second biggest dealer group, while Sytner has dropped one place to third and Arnold Clark one place to 4. Vertu Motors has achieved its ambition of becoming a top 10 player in its first full year of business based on an estimated turnover of £700m.
