ReMit hits out at government's university drive
Monday, 14 February 2005
ReMIT, the RMI's training arm, has taken a swipe at the government's drive to get more young people into universities.

Stephen Ramsay, ReMIT managing director, said if more students were channelled into academia it could detract from the numbers taking up vocational training courses and exacerbate the skills shortage in the retail motor industry. ReMit has thrown its support behind business leaders who are lobbying the prime minister Tony Blair to scrap government plans to get 50 per cent of young people into higher education.
