Thatcham, the motor insurance repair research centre, has stepped up its commitment to education with the announcement of an apprentice training centre.
Insurers will initially fund the 40,000 sq ft facility at the organisation's Berkshire HQ, although it is hoped that the centre will become self-sufficient within five years. A Thatcham spokeswoman told Motor Trader: “We want to raise the profile of the crash repair industry with young people.”
