Top Ten dealer group Lookers has added a used car supermarket to its portfolio.
The plc claimed the purchase of the Bristol Trade Centre would give it a “significant presence” in the secondhand sector, adding some £35m per year to its turnover. The move follows Lookers acquisition of parts distributor FPS Distribution last year. Dealer group chief executive Ken Surgenor said: “We believe Lookers should develop broad revenue streams from all sectors of the automotive industry.”
