Daihatsu is planning further expansion of its 126-strong dealer network this year after adding 40 retailers during 2004.
The importer said it wanted to open outlets in locations including Edinburgh, Lancaster, west London and Slough during 2005. Operations director Paul Hegarty said a strong dealer network was needed with the launch of the new Sirion in March. He added: “This we have more than achieved – we can look forward to steady and sustainable sales growth.”
