Seat is celebrating the 50th anniversary of one of its most important cars.
The Seat 600, which launched midway through 1957, sold almost 800,000 units over the course of its 16-year lifetime. Produced following the carmaker's negotiations with Fiat, the small car has gone down in Spanish folklore as a symbol of a more affluent post civil war society.
The last 600 model rolled off the production line in 1973, making the front page of Spain's national newspapers and marking the end of an era.
