Stoke Audi plans to double staff numbers when it completes a £7m relocation from its Trentham Lakes base to its new site in Hanley early next year.
Head of business Philip Jones said: “We have completely outgrown our current premises because of the success of Audi as a brand. We can get 10 cars in the showroom at the moment and the new one will hold 20.”
New positions are likely to include technicians, office workers and sales staff.
The dealership currently sells about 1,200 cars a year but estimated that at the new premises this could rise to 2,000 within three years.
Meanwhile Audi is using films in a bid to make life easier for sales staff in dealerships.
The carmaker has produced an introductory film on every model in its range and has started sending them to customers waiting to take delivery of new cars.
The 10-minute previews present an armchair explanation of important features that might be overlooked when vehicles are collected from showrooms.
“We're treating the demonstrations as a major part of the welcome pack we send to buyers – this is a good way to make sure customers fully understand how to operate all the equipment that comes with their cars,” said Audi UK director Jeremy Hicks.
