Bodyshops look to eastern promise
Tuesday, 25 January 2005
Skilled workers from emerging EU countries could help alleviate a crippling bodyshop skills shortage, according to an Essex crash repairer.

Chris Oliver, boss of AJC Wilson in Dagenham, said the employees from countries of the former Eastern Bloc could bring a significant contribution to the industry. He was speaking after taking on two Polish and two Lithuanian workers, who were proving a major asset to his business. Oliver said: “There seems to be a growing community of Eastern European people in London and the south-east.”
