Nationwide to handle EA fleet
Monday, 25 June 2007
Nationwide Accident Repair Services, claimed to be the UK's biggest crash repair and accident administration business, has signed an agreement to look after the Environment Agency's car and commercials fleet.

The deal involves services including call handling, accident recovery services, repair management engineering and total loss management provision. It will operate on a 24-hour-a-day basis. The company won the deal after going through a tendering process and Nationwide's chief executive, Michael Wilmshurst, said it was last December's acquisition of a motor claims management operation that had helped it bid successfully for the Environment Agency work. “It complements our core crash repair business and enables us to provide fleet operators and motor insurers with both crash repair facilities and a full accident management service,” he said. Wilmshurst's company's client list includes the DHL delivery company and vehicle insurers including Zurich and Norwich union.
