The Hendy Group has appointed a new fleet sales manager.

George Light will be responsible for business-to-business sales, overseeing a team of nine handling the sales of different fleet vehicles including cars, vans and Iveco trucks as well as looking after contract hire and leases. Light joins the group from Norwich Union where he was head of vehicle procurement for three years. Bristol Street Motors has made a number of managerial appointments. Patrick Lawrence has become general manager at the dealer group's Oxford dealership. Lawrence formerly worked for Hartwell and joined Bristol Street three years ago. His previous role was regional used car director for the group. Simon Ellis has also assumed a new role with the group following his appointment as general manager for the Northampton Peugeot dealership. Ellis was previously regional new car sales director for the south midlands with Bristol Street. Keith Wright has been appointed national dealer training manager for Manheim Auctions. He will manage the company's bespoke customer used vehicle training solutions for all levels of dealer staff. With 34 years of experience in the motor trade, Wright previously worked at Polk and Mitac in a variety of dealer training roles before joining Manheim as business development manager two years ago.
