The 308 replaces the outgoing 307, with the updated model offering reduced fuel consumption and lower carbon emissions. The 1.6 litre HDi engine emits only 120g/km of CO2 and will be available in a choice of seven engine options. Peugeot said it would evolve the 308 into a number of different body shapes in the coming years, eventually introducing a 'BioFlex' petrol model.
