General Motors is to sue a Chinese car maker that it claims has copied the design of a small car, the Matiz, made by its South Korean subsidiary GM Daewoo.
GM markets the car as the Chevrolet Spark in China. According to the Financial Times, GM deliberated for two years before deciding on the action against Chery, a state-owned manufacturer founded in the late 1990s.
