Online remarketing firm Vehicle Remarketing Solutions has reported record demand from dealers in January.
The group claimed to have handled more than 3,700 enquiries from dealers during the month and said demand was up 15 per cent year-on-year.
“We have been flat out since
8 January and it bodes well for a strong year," said managing director, Lewis Arthur. He attributed the volume of business to pent-up demand from dealers for nearly new and used vehicles.
Arthur said: “I also believe that dealers across the UK are becoming more comfortable buying vehicles over the phone and like the convenience of being able to solve their stock needs whilst staying in the showroom during busy periods.”
Part of the Manheim Group, VRS has more than 7,000 dealers across the UK on its database and last year sold over 15,000 vehicles and more than 34 marques.
