Hopes of another record breaking year for new car sales have been rekindled after November registrations rose by 1.
8 per cent to 172,094 -- just 682 behind 2003's record volumes. With less than three weeks of sales left before the end of the year the December market needs to hit 156,135 to beat 2003. SMMT chief executive, Christopher Macgowan said, 'November's new car market was the second largest on record, boosting registrations towards a fourth consecutive record annual total.”
