A depressed new car market has left many in the industry apprehensive about sales figures next month. Almost nine out of ten dealers taking part in Motor Trader's online poll said they do not expect a strong September. Last year sales in the all important plate-change month fell to their lowest level since 2000 with 417,052 registrations.
